AmitySoft Team WINS 4th place in Software Process Improvement Quiz
conducted by Chennai SPIN
15th October 2001
Chennai chapter of Software Process Improvement Network (SPIN) conducted a Software Process Improvement Quiz on 15 October 2001 coinciding with World Standards Day at Hotel Quality Inn Aruna.
All ladies team from AmitySoft represented by Lakshmi .K.R and Nandaki Devi .R won the fourth place and brought honors to AmitySoft.
Twenty eight teams from leading software companies including ones from Bangalore participated in the quiz conducted with full energy and full house by Karthik .V.C, a popular Quiz master.
It is noteworthy that our team members belong to development and testing teams and fought against the teams consisted of quality professionals from other companies.
Prize was awarded to our team by Mr. Kannan V, Partner, KPMG. The function was chaired by Ms. Rajalakshmi, Director, Software Technology Parks India, who spoke on the function stressed the importance of quality, cost and productivity in software which are driven by having the right processes in place becoming the critical need of the day to achieve our ambitious export targets inspite of the small dents. ‘Subject of software quality and processes won the young software professionals fancy, thanks to the quiz programme which made the subject interesting’ as observed by Ms. Rajalakshmi |
